March 13 is World Sleep Day! 😴💤

A good night’s sleep does more than help you feel rested! It plays a key role in your physical health, mental wellbeing, and daily performance. Adults should aim for 7–9 hours of sleep each night, but many people fall short.

Poor sleep has been linked to heart disease, obesity, and depression. Simple habits like sticking to a regular bedtime routine and limiting screen time before bed can help improve your sleep quality.

Make rest a priority — your body and mind will thank you!

➡ You can help protect your kidney health by staying active, eating balanced meals, managing your blood pressure, and scheduling regular checkups with your healthcare provider.

The Midland Health Department encourages residents to prioritize routine screenings and healthy lifestyle choices to support long-term kidney health!
