Water play gives us the chance to work on several different skills while playing at the same time. Below are a few listed:

💦Sensory play
💧Matching
💦Fine motor skills of picking up toys
💧Fine motor skills of pouring water
💦 listener response (picking up toys asked from the water)
💧 labeling of objects by color/ name

Last week during our social skills group we brought learning to life through the book “Who Would Win: Falcon vs. Hawk”.

They worked on key social and communication skills associated around this book.

To keep the learning hands on and engaging, they also completed themed crafts and activities inspired by the book! They loved expressing their own creativity throughout the week!

In the end they found out the Falcon wins as it’s the fastest animal being able to dive 300 MPH!

Stay tuned to see what other animals will battle in the who will win series!
