More news on this beautiful Monday! Some of you might recognize her, Julia is back with us as of October! We are SUPER excited to welcome her back - and she’s bringing so much with her including EMDR therapy!
“In therapy, there's a strong emphasis on recognizing that while we may not control everything that happens to us, we do have influence over how we respond. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ preteens, teens and adults, as well as individuals navigating relationship challenges, OCD, anxiety, and depression. My experience also includes supporting clients through self-harm, trauma, grief, stress, ADHD, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
My approach is person-centered, meaning I meet you where you are and work with you to set realistic, manageable goals that align with your current needs. Therapy can feel intimidating at first, but I strive to create a laid-back, affirming, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe, heard, and empowered. I offer virtual sessions for your convenience and because I hope to eliminate the barriers between individuals and the services I provide.”
I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including:
-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-Strengths-Based Therapy
-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-Solution-Focused Therapy
