Most people don't realize how much their hips affect EVERYTHING👇

Exercise of the Week: 90/90 Mobility with Hip Lift

Your hips play a role in more than just workouts.
They help you walk, sit comfortably, stand up, balance, and move without strain.

But when hips get stiff, which happens naturally from sitting, driving, and daily routines, your body starts to compensate. Often in the low back, knees, or shoulders.

This exercise helps restore something many people have quietly lost: the ability to move your hips with control.

The goal isn’t to force flexibility.
It’s to gently teach your body how to access positions it was designed to use.

Over time, this can help you:
• Move more comfortably
• Reduce unnecessary strain on your back and knees
• Improve balance and coordination
• Feel more confident in everyday movement

This movement is about way more than strength. The overhead squat helps build coordination between your shoulders, core, hips, and ankles so your body learns how to move together not in pieces.

In everyday life, we reach, lift, and carry things overhead more often than we realize. Practicing this pattern teaches your body how to stay balanced, stable, and controlled when your arms are up and your lower body is working.

It’s not about going heavy or looking perfect. It’s about learning how to move with confidence, improving mobility where you need it, and building strength that actually carries over into real life.

Exercise of the week!
This movement isn’t about chasing a six-pack or pushing through discomfort.
The cross over crunch teaches your core how to rotate and stabilize , two things your body uses every single day.

Twisting to grab something.
Turning to look behind you.
Getting in and out of the car without feeling stiff or unstable.

When your core knows how to control rotation, everything feels more supported, your back, your hips, and even your balance.

This is what we mean by learning skills, not just doing workouts.
When you understand why a movement matters, you can use it, adjust it, and keep it no matter how busy life gets.
