Burns are more common around the holidays than you might think. 🔥🎄
Between cooking big meals, hot drinks, candles, fireplaces, and party hosting, it’s easy for a quick moment to turn into an injury. Knowing basic first aid can make a huge difference while you wait for help—or prevent a minor burn from getting worse.
Quick burn first-aid reminders:
✅ Cool the burn with cool (not icy) running water for several minutes
✅ Remove rings or tight items before swelling starts
✅ Cover with a clean, nonstick dressing
✅ Don’t use butter, oils, or toothpaste
✅ Don’t pop blisters
Call 911 or seek urgent care for:
⚠️ Large or deep burns
⚠️ Burns on the face, hands, feet, or ge****ls
⚠️ Electrical or chemical burns
⚠️ Trouble breathing or significant pain
Holiday fun is better when everyone stays safe.
