Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment both offer essential support, but with different approaches to care. Inpatient treatment provides 24/7 support in a structured environment, ideal for those requiring intensive care or stabilization. Outpatient treatment, on the other hand, allows individuals to receive therapy while living at home, offering flexibility to continue daily activities. https://bit.ly/4gUTd6d

What is SAD? It is Seasonal Affective Disorder. Millions of Americans can and will experience this disorder, women may experience more often than men. Yet what exactly is it? It is "a type of depression characterized by a recurrent seasonal pattern, with symptoms lasting about 4−5 months out of the year." and it is important to note " The depression associated with SAD is related to changes in daylight hours, not the calendar, so stresses associated with the holidays or predictable seasonal changes in work or school schedules, family visits, and so forth are not the same as SAD.".

With the sun setting due to Daylight Saving Time just passed many people will experience symptoms such as:

Persistent sad, anxious, or “empty” mood most of the day, nearly every day, for at least 2 weeks
Feelings of hopelessness or pessimism
Feelings of irritability, frustration, or restlessness
Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, or helplessness
Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities
Decreased energy, fatigue, or feeling slowed down
Difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions
Oversleeping (hypersomnia)
Overeating, particularly with a craving for carbohydrates, leading to weight gain
Social withdrawal (feeling like “hibernating”)

If you feel that you are experiencing any of these symptoms reach out to your provider for help!

From the candy to the costumes, Halloween is a fun-filled time for kids and parents. Here are 10 safety tips to keep in mind while trick-or-treating this Halloween!

1. Walk safely: Stay on sidewalks and walk slowly so drivers can see you.
2. Inspect candy: Before eating candy, inspect it to make sure it's safe. Throw away any candy that isn't commercially packaged or has pinholes. Avoid homemade treats from strangers.
3. Accompany young children: A trusted adult should accompany children 12 and under.
4. Stay in a group: Older children should stay in a group and communicate with you.
5. Plan a route: Choose a route in a familiar neighborhood with well-lit streets.
6. Use a flashlight: Carry a flashlight to help you see and be seen.
7. Check your costume: Choose a costume that doesn't block your vision and add reflective tape or material to make yourself more visible.
8. Be aware of animals: Keep pets away from trick-or-treaters, even if they seem harmless.
9. Only go to well-lit homes: Don't enter any homes or cars for treats.
10. Eat before going out: Eat a snack before you go trick-or-treating so you're not tempted to eat treats that haven't been inspected.
