A recovery-friendly workplace is more than just a policy—it’s a commitment to people, compassion, and second chances.

It means creating an environment where individuals feel safe being honest about their journey without fear of judgment or discrimination. It looks like:
• Offering support for those in recovery from substance use or mental health challenges
• Providing access to resources like counseling, Employee Assistance Programs, and peer support
• Training leadership and staff to respond with empathy, not stigma
• Encouraging work-life balance and healthy coping strategies
• Celebrating progress, resilience, and personal growth

Recovery is not a weakness—it’s a powerful testament to strength and determination. When workplaces support recovery, they build stronger teams, healthier communities, and a culture rooted in respect.

Let’s continue to break the stigma and open doors for everyone to thrive. 💚

Strong families are the first line of defense against substance misuse 💙

Prevention starts at home—with open conversations, clear expectations, and leading by example. Kids who feel heard, supported, and connected are far less likely to turn to drugs or alcohol.

Here are a few simple ways families can make a big impact:
✔ Talk early and often about the risks of substance use
✔ Set clear rules and consistent consequences
✔ Spend quality time together and stay involved
✔ Know your child’s friends and activities
✔ Be a positive role model

It’s not about having one “perfect” talk—it’s about building trust every day.

If you need support or resources, don’t hesitate to reach out to local community programs, schools, or healthcare providers. Prevention is a team effort, and every step matters.

Social workers play a vital role in the recovery community. From treatment and counseling to case management and resource coordination, they provide critical support at every stage of the journey. They advocate, educate, intervene in times of crisis, and help individuals successfully reintegrate into the community.
We are grateful for the dedication and impact of social workers every day.
