✨ Centers Presents: An Evening with Damar Hamlin ✨

Join us for a meaningful cowboy-chic evening dedicated to strengthening our community and expanding access to mental health care. This special night supports Centers’ mission to provide counseling, education, and supportive services that equip individuals and families with the tools needed to successfully manage life’s challenges.

The evening will feature special guest Damar Hamlin, who will share reflections on resilience, purpose, and service—values that align with the heart of our work and the impact we strive to make every day.

His journey from a life‑threatening on‑field collapse to becoming a national advocate for health and perseverance is a powerful reminder of courage, hope, and the strength to overcome adversity.

This special night will also feature delicious food, lively entertainment, fun games, and a thrilling live auction with something for everyone. In addition, Centers will proudly honor several distinguished leaders whose lasting contributions have advanced mental health and strengthened our community , including Mark Palmer, The Honorable Tom and Mrs. Nadine Craddick, and Terry Wilkinson.

So, Dust off your boots and join us for an inspiring night where hope, healing, and community impact take Centers Stage.

Centers would like to extend a huge thank you to United Way of Midland for funding our therapy groups through the Innovation Grant.

Through this support, Centers was awarded $2,000 to directly fund refreshments, learning materials, handouts, and outreach tools, resources that help us better serve our community.

Our Centers Groups consist of:

INSPIRE – a girls teen group that helps build confidence, self-esteem, and a safe place for young women to share their feelings and struggles throughout the school year. (ages 14-18 yrs old)

Grief Group: an 18+ faith-based group that helps guide those who have been struggling with the loss of someone through the stages of grief.

Upcoming Groups:

Anxious for Nothing: a six-week 18+ faith-based group that supports members by providing a practical and powerful roadmap for healing from anxiety. Using the curriculum Anxious for Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World by pastor and author Max Lucado, participants are guided toward calm, hope, and lasting peace in the midst of life’s challenges.

Dealing with Depression: dive into “Out of the Cave: Stepping into the light when Depression Darkens what you see” by Author Chris Hodges, in our six-week 18+ faith-based support group. Learn together about the causes of depression that we cannot change, contributors we can conquer, comprehensive approaches to wellness, and transformative hope and skills to help us win the battle.

As our 2025 Grief Group comes to an end, we are reminded that grief never truly leaves us, but with time, each day becomes a little easier. 💙

Today, many of our group members shared cherished memories of their loved ones. Witnessing the beautiful progress made over these 13 weeks has truly been a sight to see.

In our group, we talk about the stages of grief, and each session begins and ends with prayer. Stories are always shared, because we’ve learned that speaking our loved ones’ names out loud not only helps others, it helps lighten the heart of the one who is grieving.

Yes, tears of sadness are shed, but tears of happiness are shared as well.

To everyone who joined us this year, we hope you continue telling your loved ones’ stories as if they are still here with you, guiding you through life one day at a time. 🤍

We are grateful to receive a $15,000 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, to support our military counseling fund. This funding directly benefits veterans and their families attending counseling, helping ensure our offices are better equipped to serve the Permian Basin military community. Thank you to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, our local Firehouse Subs restaurants in Midland and Odessa and the generous donors who made this possible!

The holidays can bring up so many different emotions.
Before the holiday season, our grief group created tributes to their loved ones—taking time to remember, reflect, and share meaningful stories and memories they hold close to their hearts. Some were joyful, some were bittersweet.

Everyone experiences grief differently, especially during the holidays, and for many it can be a difficult season to navigate. Wherever you are in your journey, you are not alone.
