Hi! I haven’t posted in a while. I’m Candace Mahaffey, M.A., LPC and I’ve been seeing clients at my private practice in Midland for over 6 years now, licensed in Texas for over 12 years. I have worked all levels of care from acute psychiatric inpatient care, outpatient group therapy to individual counseling. My area of focus includes working with clients who have autoimmune conditions. I am a Christian and enjoy incorporating faith into my work at the clients request. It’s so easy to be overwhelmed this time of year, but the best remedy is to bring your awareness to the present. Take a minute to take some deep breaths and take in exactly where you are in this exact moment. I slowed down this busy morning as I walked into my office to really notice these beautiful flowers planted out front of the office building and a nice cool breeze on my skin. Beauty is everywhere, even downtown with cars whizzing by and construction noise.
