The vision of a few members of this community met with a tremendous amount of hard work, cooperation, and love for one’s fellow man. Our continuing commitment is to build on the needs of our patients with a life-limiting illness. Hospice of Midland provides a true community of care for patients and their families as the only non-profit community-owned hospice in the Permian Basin. Hospice of Midland's care follows the patient in the home, hospital, nursing home, assisted living facility or anywhere the patient calls home with patient services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When medicine cannot provide a cure, Hospice of Midland can diminish suffering and offer care and assistance that helps maintain a better quality of life for the patient. Our services involve treatment of physical and emotional pain and symptoms focusing on improving the patient’s comfort and quality of life. Our philosophy is that as life nears its end, every individual has the right to spend his or her remaining days in peace and with dignity. We focus specifically on comfort, dignity and pain control as we respond to the symptoms, needs and goals of the patients and their families. Hospice of Midland is accredited by CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) and is a member of NHPCO (National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization), TNMHO (Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization) and the Texas Non-Profit Hospice Alliance.

Oscar Jimenez has been a busy bunny! Seven Easter Egg Hunts this week—and this one at Manor Crest Apartments was hopping!

With a cookout, music, and an egg hunt full of smiles, it was a day to remember. Huge thanks to the Manor Crest team for inviting us, and to Oscar and his amazing, reliable volunteers—your hard work makes it all possible!

This sweet 11‑year‑old girl is looking for a cozy, loving forever home. Rocket is gentle, great with kids, fixed, potty trained, and has a heart as soft as her fur. She’s truly a little sweetheart.

This adoption opportunity is part of our Pet Peace of Mind program through Hospice of Midland, where we help ensure our patients’ beloved pets continue to receive the love and care they deserve.

Our Story

Since 1981, Hospice of Midland has provided heartfelt care and comfort to patients and their families throughout the Permian Basin. Hospice of Midland is an industry leader for quality and has the most experience and expertise in end-of-life care in our region.

Our services are palliative, based on the philosophy that as life nears its end, every individual has the right to spend his or her remaining days how they choose and in peace. We focus on the patient keeping their dignity, controlling pain, responding quickly to symptoms, and adhering to each individual’s needs and wishes. The Care Team is dedicated to helping the terminally ill live each day comfortably and is there to support the patient and family in a setting that best suits their needs.

When medicine cannot provide a cure, Hospice of Midland is there for you to diminish suffering and offer assistance to help maintain a better quality of life for the patient. We care for the whole person by addressing the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
