Hospice of Midland

Hospice of Midland Care from the heart to meet the unique needs of patients and families. Hospice of Midland has provided compassionate care to thousands of patients and families.

The vision of a few members of this community met with a tremendous amount of hard work, cooperation, and love for one’s fellow man. Our continuing commitment is to build on the needs of our patients with a life-limiting illness. Hospice of Midland provides a true community of care for patients and their families as the only non-profit community-owned hospice in the Permian Basin. Hospice of Midland's care follows the patient in the home, hospital, nursing home, assisted living facility or anywhere the patient calls home with patient services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When medicine cannot provide a cure, Hospice of Midland can diminish suffering and offer care and assistance that helps maintain a better quality of life for the patient. Our services involve treatment of physical and emotional pain and symptoms focusing on improving the patient’s comfort and quality of life. Our philosophy is that as life nears its end, every individual has the right to spend his or her remaining days in peace and with dignity. We focus specifically on comfort, dignity and pain control as we respond to the symptoms, needs and goals of the patients and their families. Hospice of Midland is accredited by CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) and is a member of NHPCO (National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization), TNMHO (Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization) and the Texas Non-Profit Hospice Alliance.

❤️ This Valentine’s Day, Give What Matters Most ❤️

You don’t need flowers.
You don’t need candy.
You don’t need the perfect gift.

Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can give is simply your time.

📞 Call someone you love.
🚗 Stop by for a quick visit.
💬 Share a conversation and a few moments together.

For many—especially those who are homebound or feeling alone—a simple call or visit can brighten an entire day and remind them they are deeply loved.

This Valentine’s Day, give from the heart.
Because your presence means more than anything you can buy. 💕

❤️ More Than Care—We Bring Connection, Comfort, and Peace of Mind

For many of our patients, days are spent in bed, with limited opportunities to see friends, go out, or simply enjoy meaningful conversation. Something as simple as a warm smile, gentle touch, or unhurried visit can mean everything.

At Hospice of Midland, our care team brings more than medical support—we bring presence.
🤝 We sit. We listen. We talk.
💬 We create moments of human connection that brighten long days.

While we are there, primary caregivers can finally take a breath. They gain a moment to rest, run an errand, or simply regroup—knowing their loved one is in compassionate, capable hands. We also provide a safe space for caregivers to share their concerns, ask questions, and talk about their hopes for their loved one’s care journey.

Because no family should carry this weight alone.

💙 Our presence helps lift, support, and walk alongside families when they need it most.

If your family could use extra support, we are here.

At Hospice of Midland, we’re reminded every day that time is one of the greatest gifts we’re given.
It’s not measured in minutes or days, but in the laughter shared, the stories told, and the quiet moments spent hand‑in‑hand with the people we love.

Whether it’s a favorite meal, a family tradition, or simply sitting together in the same room, these moments become the memories that stay with us.

Make space for them. Hold onto them. Celebrate them.
Because connection is what brings comfort, meaning, and peace—at every stage of life.

💛 Hospice of Midland — Here to support, honor, and uplift every moment that matters.

Honoring Those Who Served

Hospice of Midland was proud to have our Veterans participate in Midland College’s Military Appreciation Night.

As Midland College shared, “Military Appreciation Night is a chance for Midland College to publicly thank the veterans and families who have given so much to our country… Our commitment to veterans goes far beyond a single event.”

At Hospice of Midland, we couldn’t agree more. Through our We Honor Veterans program, we are committed to walking alongside our Veterans with respect, gratitude, and compassionate care—because honoring their service is more than a moment… it’s a mission. Call 432-682-2855 to find out more.

📍Thank you, Midland College, for creating a space where our Veterans feel recognized, valued, and celebrated.

Our Story

Since 1981, Hospice of Midland has provided heartfelt care and comfort to patients and their families throughout the Permian Basin. Hospice of Midland is an industry leader for quality and has the most experience and expertise in end-of-life care in our region.

Our services are palliative, based on the philosophy that as life nears its end, every individual has the right to spend his or her remaining days how they choose and in peace. We focus on the patient keeping their dignity, controlling pain, responding quickly to symptoms, and adhering to each individual’s needs and wishes. The Care Team is dedicated to helping the terminally ill live each day comfortably and is there to support the patient and family in a setting that best suits their needs.

When medicine cannot provide a cure, Hospice of Midland is there for you to diminish suffering and offer assistance to help maintain a better quality of life for the patient. We care for the whole person by addressing the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.

We give you all the choices – You make the final decisions.
