🌟 Sensory Friendly Zone at the Midland Santa Parade! 🌟

We’re excited to share that this year’s Midland Santa Parade will once again include a Sensory Friendly Zone so more families can enjoy the magic of the season together. 💚❤️

🎅 When: This Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
🎄 Where: Along the parade route in our designated sensory-friendly block
🤍 What to Expect in the Sensory Friendly Zone:

Reduced music and sirens

Limited flashing lights

A calmer, quieter space

A welcoming spot for individuals with sensory sensitivities, young children, and anyone who prefers a low-stimulation environment

This is one more way our community is working to make holiday traditions inclusive and accessible for everyone.

✨ Look for the Sensory Friendly Zone signs on the parade route and feel free to share this post to help spread the word!

Thanks to a continuing collaboration between Access to Community and Midland Santa Parade, a special “sensory block” on Ashman St. between W. Pine St. and E. Grove St. will return to parade day to allow residents with light or sound sensitivities to enjoy the parade with more comfort.

When passing this block the bands will not play, lights will not flash, and horns/sirens/extremely loud noises will not be used. If you or someone you love is sensitive to these experiences, we encourage you to watch from this area!

🥔💙 Driven by Purpose. Focused on People. 💙🥔

At the Arnold Center, our employees go the extra mile every day — not just to meet expectations, but to build a stronger community safety net for the vulnerable individuals we serve.

This week, our team peeled over 150 pounds of potatoes, donated by our friends at Hidden Harvest, to prepare homemade potato soup for individuals affected by the delay in SNAP benefits.

Through the ReGrow Midland initiative, we’re working alongside incredible partners to tackle the growing challenge of food insecurity in our community — one meal, one act of kindness, and one person at a time.

We are so proud of our staff, volunteers, and community partners who make these moments possible. 💪🌿

Thanks to the incredible dedication of our team, we’ve raised over $5,000 to support vital programs in our community. And here’s the best part: DOW is matching our donation, doubling the impact to over $10,000! 💥

This means more resources, more support, and more hope for families right here in Midland County. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.

Let’s finish strong! 💪 If you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time to be part of something amazing.
