We are proud to partner with and be sponsored by Michigan Sugar.

SOMETHING SWEET FOR CHRISTMAS: This morning, we're excited to share our newest community partnership whose sweet treats will make the perfect breakfast on Christmas morning.

Arnold Center, Inc. in Midland provides work skills training to individuals with disabilities to foster independence, social connection, and meaningful work experiences. Its culinary program, The Good Kitchen, provides participants with commercial kitchen training, including dishwashing, knife handling, basic cooking, and customer service.

Michigan Sugar Company is proud to support the program by providing pure, all-natural white granulated, light brown, and confectioners powdered Pioneer Sugar. All three types of sugar can be found in their cinnamon rolls, which made their grocery retail debut last week at Family Fare in Midland!

So, if you're still looking for that perfect sweet treat to enjoy while opening presents on Christmas morning, pick up a few delicious cinnamon buns and know you're supporting a life-changing organization this holiday season.

🌟 Sensory Friendly Zone at the Midland Santa Parade! 🌟

We’re excited to share that this year’s Midland Santa Parade will once again include a Sensory Friendly Zone so more families can enjoy the magic of the season together. 💚❤️

🎅 When: This Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
🎄 Where: Along the parade route in our designated sensory-friendly block
🤍 What to Expect in the Sensory Friendly Zone:

Reduced music and sirens

Limited flashing lights

A calmer, quieter space

A welcoming spot for individuals with sensory sensitivities, young children, and anyone who prefers a low-stimulation environment

This is one more way our community is working to make holiday traditions inclusive and accessible for everyone.

✨ Look for the Sensory Friendly Zone signs on the parade route and feel free to share this post to help spread the word!

Thanks to a continuing collaboration between Access to Community and Midland Santa Parade, a special “sensory block” on Ashman St. between W. Pine St. and E. Grove St. will return to parade day to allow residents with light or sound sensitivities to enjoy the parade with more comfort.

When passing this block the bands will not play, lights will not flash, and horns/sirens/extremely loud noises will not be used. If you or someone you love is sensitive to these experiences, we encourage you to watch from this area!
