Wellness Massage Therapy

Wellness Massage Therapy Customizing sports and clinical massage sessions for the Ellis County community for the past 8 years.

I believe that positive touch is crucial to our health and well-being. When you add special training and education to that need, the benefits to the body are truly valuable. My commitment as a massage therapist is to customize each individual's session to their specific needs and goals always with respect, sensitivity, and integrity. "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." 3 John 1:2

Sometimes you know you don’t need a relaxation massage.
You know things have gotten off balance a bit through daily habits, activities, and even medical conditions.

This is the niche I love to fill, and where my training has focused.

I thought it might be time to reintroduce myself as I open back up! 👋

I’m a sports and clinical massage therapist of almost 9 years with a new location right in the heart of Midlothian in the Lawson District building. 🏢

I’ve had the opportunity of working with a functional sports clinic under great docs, had the honor of setting up my table at CrossFit, powerlifting, and strongman competitions in the past, and have earned several training certifications to compliment my massage license.

I no longer offer strictly relaxation massages (though extremely important for your nervous system!), so if you’re looking for that, I’m not the gal. 🫶🏻

However, if you’re dealing with specific injuries or pain, chronic pain, if you’re post surgery, getting ready for a sporting event or have just completed one, I might be a good fit!

I offer 30, 45, and 60 min appts
with cupping, scraping, and stretching as wanted/needed. 🛠️

I’m including some past pics to show a bit of what I do and have done for those who like to research people out first. 😊

Kris did a great job cheering us on and grabbing pics of the Murph workout on Saturday at CrossFit Midlothian, but I want to use myself to point out things I look for with bodywork. 👀

In these pics, I can tell that my upper body is way too tight. My shoulders are riding high, there’s a lot of tension through my neck and scalenes, forward head posture, and tight mouth breathing.

I’ve been needing some work for a while and my symptoms leading up to this day were:

➡️ tight left bicep/shoulder, feeling like I need to constantly stretch my neck, feeling like my abdominals are super tight and shoved underneath my rib cage (red flag for not breathing with diaphragm, bracing well, etc.), and struggling to nasal breathe.

Pay attention to the changes you feel and see in your patterns. Many times our body will intuitively start trying to fix or help them, but make sure you get the soft tissue work done to encourage better mobility, work out tightness, and help with neuromuscular patterns. ✅

When I make my appointment I will request work along the blue areas in the pictures. These are two different fascial lines that affect movement. Notice how the abdominals feed up into the diaphragm and even the scalenes. 👏 It’s all connected!
They pull on one another. Don’t neglect the bodywork or the body will demand it later in the form of injury. ✅

I was needing to organize some business materials and realized the last couple of years have been busy! 👀🥰

I do it because I sincerely want to help others feel better, move better, and stay proactive in their healthcare.

Thank you to all of my faithful clients! 💚🌿

This year I plan to turn some attention to functional movement patterns, getting back to some foundational basics to help prevent injuries. This is partly due to health issues within my own family, but also something I’ve followed for a while.
I’ll keep you posted!

🥳 NASM PES certification finished! ✅

When I became a massage therapist, it only took about 9 months for me to realize that most people wanted bodywork due to pain.

I directed my continuing ed towards medical and therapeutic massage after that.

With my love for physical activity 🏋️‍♀️, I added on sports massage courses because I love getting to work with athletes. 🙌

I then got my CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist) certification through NASM so I could legally give corrective exercises to clients as needed. State laws are weird like that. Usually personal trainers get this cert but you can bypass it if you already work in a similar field.

I decided to get the PES next because it’s more sport specific. It helps me understand the nuances of different training programs based on the athlete and their sport and how their seasons flow. Knowing this, I can better address the issues that arise for each athlete. Pitchers need different focus than powerlifters, etc.

I’m excited to apply what I know and keep growing! May even dabble in some training at a later date, but time will tell. 😂

Hey guys! Glad to have some new followers lately. If you want to see more activity, be sure to follow my insta at 😁

I’m still set up at the new location in Midlothian off of Main and 14th street and things are rocking and rolling! I’ve taken two recent sports/orthopedic massage classes and am slowly implementing things I’ve learned.

I’ve got one more class coming up this weekend on Neuromuscular Reprogramming which has me on my computer this week with muscle testing. 👀

I’m looking forward to streamlining some processes this year and still helping you move your best! 🙌
