Thank you for your trust and support over the past 30 years. At times, the days seem long, but the years have slipped by quickly. After many years of building the practice, my wife and I have decided to retire. We are looking forward to shifting our energy towards our children and their growing families.

Dr. Amanda Deasy alongside Dr. Jung and my incredible team are still in our same building and ready to serve you.

Although it is recommended to use glasses and minimize your contact lens wear during this time, if you do need to order a limited supply, we are offering free direct-to-patient shipping on 2 boxes or more until the end of May 2020. While we are currently needing to indefinitely cancel non-emergent appointments, we appreciate the need for having this option until we are able to safely reschedule your annual examination. The office will be staffed during normal business hours to address any questions or concerns.

Prevention is better than cure.
The next total solar eclipse for North America will occur on Monday, August 21, 2017. Although this rare astronomical alignment of the sun and the moon is an amazing and memorable event to witness, certain precautions need to be taken for adequate protection of your eyes. Yet another reason to get outside, it benefits your eyes!

Several studies have revealed that there has been a worldwide boom in myopia during the last several decades. Myopia, or nearsightedness, is the inability to see far away. Children who spend more time outdoor have a greatly reduced incidence as compared to those staying inside. Getting outside for an additional couple hours a day in the sun can decrease myopic progression. Put down the computer and go outside and play!
