💥Continuing from our post on Monday💥

Starting July 1st, you will no longer need a prescription for physical therapy in Virginia! Currently, we can actually see you for 60 days without a referral, but it is about to be even less restrictive!

Furthermore, physical therapists in Virginia will also no longer need a prescription for dry needling 😊

(Hopefully will also be promoting this statewide as most people are unaware of current direct access laws as they are)

Staff highlight and birthday!
Welcome Dr. Adam Schneider to the VCSST team and happy birthday tomorrow 🎉

Dr. Adam Schneider earned his doctorate degree from Radford University Carilion in 2023 after graduating from James Madison University with a degree in Kinesiology and a concentration in Exercise Science. He was born in Midlothian and graduated from nearby Cosby High School in 2016.

Dr. Schneider is a former volleyball and basketball athlete and enjoys treating various sports injuries along with concussions and positional vertigo. He has a passion for using a combination of exercise and manual therapies in order to allow his patients to return to their favorite activities.

When not in the clinic he enjoys spending his free time with his family including his fiancée, Arielle and their goldendoodle puppy, Malcolm. His hobbies include strength training, collecting sneakers, and watching sports.

: Many patients think a total knee replacement will only last 15 years. This research helps clarify those concerns.

A systematic review and meta-analysis published in the medical journal Lancet included nearly 300,000 total knee replacements gave the answer to the question—how long does a knee replacement last?

🔹82% of TKRs last for 25 years, 🔹90% lasted 20 years,
🔹 93% lasted 15 years.

These surgeries were performed in New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Consider the lag between the effort you put in and the results you get. Success (Recovery/improvement) doesn’t happen over night. Focus on the process and the results will take care of themselves.
