A “Throwback Thursday” in case you missed it…

My clients do lose a lot in my Reset program, but I love the fact that because we focus on so much more than just weight loss, they highlight all the things that they GAIN. This client has lost 39lbs in the last 3 months- and gained so much more. Real health and real results. When we help bring the body back into balance, it all falls into place with ease.

I still have spots open for my next group! If you are ready, we are here for you. You could get started TODAY and reveal your inner health before summer starts!

Did you know that consuming ultra processed foods are more likely to cause mild depression, anxious and mentally healthy behavior?

On the other hand, studies show that eating more fruits and vegetables were associated with worrying less, feeling less tension, and feeling more joy.

Hands down, whole foods improve your mood!

Practicing mindful eating helps to keep you on track.

Follow these tips and see if they make a difference for you!

Honor the meal by acknowledging where the food was grown and who prepared the meal.

Focus on all of your senses while eating. What is visually appealing about it? What does it smell and sound like as you eat it? How does it feel eating healthy food that nourishes every cell in your body?

Eat slowly to avoid overeating. Adding extra eating time allows your body to signal fullness before you keep eating more.

Taking a short nap can be the perfect way to give yourself a boost, it lower your stress, and can help strengthen your immune systen, '

To help you get the most out of nap:

-Keep your naps short - Try to keep your naps at 30 minutes or less. The longer you nap, the more groggy you may afterward.

-Early afternoon is the best time to take a nap - Napping after 3:00 PM can result in sleep disturbance that night.

-Set up your napping space for success - Choose a place that is quiet and dark with a comfortable room temperature for your nap and minimize the distractions.

You don’t have to suffer with hormonal imbalances!

Hormones are so important to our health!

Because hormones are so important to our health, we work with our clients by looking at the natural rhythms of the body, and support our hormone cycles.

We use comprehensive hormone testing and help our clients tune in to their body's own signals to learn where there are imbalances.

We then make a plan for how we can support the body to come back into BALANCE and FLOW.

Let's get you back to being you!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Are you in the mood for a Shamrock Shake but you don’t want to take the 800 calorie hit (200 of which are from fat) or the 14g of saturated fat and 113g of sugar?

Me either!

Here’s a quick and healthy substitute to enjoy while celebrating all things green - that is still tastes so good!!!

THE HEALTHIER SHAMROCK SHAKE

INGREDIENTS

3 cups of organic baby spinach

1/2 cup of non-fat milk or unflavored almond milk

1/4 teaspoon of mint extract (NOT peppermint!)

2 cups of your favorite reduced-fat vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, or vanilla vegan/non-dairy ice cream.

[Optional: Top with dairy or non-dairy whipped topping]

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine spinach, milk, and extract in a blender until spinach is completely liquified, scraping down the sides two or three times as needed.

Add the ice cream/frozen yogurt/non-dairy icre cream and blend just briefly, until smooth and completely mixed, scraping down sides if needed. Do not over-blend or the milkshakes won't be as thick.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Women’s Integrative Health

Our mission is to help women find true healing, happiness, and peace in their lives by taking a whole-woman approach to wellness, understanding and honoring the unique challenges and frustrations that women face, and walking with our clients as they implement their personalized action plan and create sustainable change in their lives.

Throughout my career in healthcare, I have always believed that it was not only the medications or therapies being delivered that helped people to heal, but that it was also the act of intentionally caring for people with love and kindness. Like many professionals in the field, I fell into Functional Medicine and Integrative Nutrition through my own personal health journey and life challenges. While studying at Vanderbilt University to become a nurse practitioner, I started on a path to improve my own health. I pursued educational opportunities in integrative medicine, functional medicine, nutrition, and fitness. Once I began to view health and wellness from this functional, root cause perspective, there was no going back.

After the birth of my three children, I struggled with breastfeeding challenges, post-partum recovery, and autoimmune disease. I felt alone and isolated, without the “village” that I thought I was supposed to have. I realized that the conventional medical system did not have the answers and support I needed. From this experience, I made the decision to shift my career to Integrative and Functional Medicine so that I could fill the gap and meet these needs for other women. And so, Blissful Heart, PLLC was born.
