We had such a special time at Adoring Care this weekend! 💐🐰

🧠 Stepping Into the World of Dementia 💜

Our Adoring Care staff — along with some family members — had the opportunity to experience Dementia Live, an immersive program designed to help participants better understand what it may feel like to live with dementia.

During this powerful simulation, participants face sensory and cognitive challenges similar to those experienced by many individuals living with dementia. Simple tasks suddenly become confusing and overwhelming, offering a glimpse into the frustration, uncertainty, and vulnerability that people with dementia may experience every day.

When caregivers and loved ones can step into the shoes of someone living with dementia, it helps them respond with greater patience, kindness, and person-centered care.

At Adoring Care, we believe that education is one of the most powerful tools in caregiving. By learning more about dementia and the daily realities faced by those living with it, we can better support their dignity, independence, and quality of life. 💜

Yesterday we enjoyed a meaningful time with one of our new Caregivers, Purity, with a daily devotion and word search activity.

We began with a short devotional that encouraged reflection, faith, and gratitude, followed by a fun word search that help keep minds active and engaged.
