This feels like an important reminder—especially if one of your goals this year is building physical strength.
Inner strength matters too.
Learning to listen to my body and connect that awareness to my emotional well-being and mental health was truly transformational for me. It shifted the way I relate to effort, rest, discipline, and care. Strength stopped being about pushing harder and started being about responding more wisely.
That’s one of the reasons I’m so drawn to work that centers on nervous system regulation—because when the body feels safe and supported, calm becomes accessible, clarity improves, and resilience grows from the inside out.
You’re not failing if you slow down.
You’re not weak for tending to your inner world.
That is strength.
