The Midwest City Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy is designed for anyone who is interested in taking an inside look at the agency's daily operations. Class participants will be introduced to many different programs and resources the police department has to offer.

Each attendee will get an opportunity to see current policing and learn more about officers who serve our community.

The academy is free of charge; what is required of you is the commitment of your time. It is held one night a week, every Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm. The academy is 12 weeks in length. Students receive a class shirt, certificate, and a video of their class. The academy is for all who live and work in Midwest City, this includes Tinker AFB.

Must be 21 age or older to apply. Class size is limited, so APPLY NOW!! We will be accepting application until April 3, 2026. First night will be April 9, 2026!

Big day for a very good boy! 🐾🎉

Today, Miles has officially completed his therapy dog training and is now an official therapy dog and, to make it even better, it’s also his 1st birthday! 💙

We couldn’t be more proud of this calm, loving, and hard-working pup and can’t wait for him to continue making a positive impact in our community. Happy Birthday Miles and congratulations! 🎂🐾

Miles paid a visit to SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest to help EMS & Fire Personnel learn more about Co-response and the mission of the Midwest City Police Department CIRT Officers. During this presentation, first responders learned of the goals and objectives of the CIRT Team and the critical role imbedded clinicians play during crisis situations.
