We have another amazing doula for you all to meet!

Hi! I’m Miranda owner of Delightfully Divine Company and I am a Bradley Method natural childbirth educator and certified Childbirth international doula, Dynamic Body Balancing certified facilitator and trained in spinning babies techniques. I dove into the birth world 7 years ago because of the profound impact my birth class and doula had for me when I was expecting and laboring with my own children.

I love helping empower families to prepare for a new addition to their family through education and with bodywork to help them alleviate pregnancy discomforts.

Not only do I provide physical, emotional support and spiritual support for moms and dads during labor but additional knowledge and peace of mind.

If you’re interested in learning more about my upcoming class starting in April please visit

My faith is a big part of my life. I am beyond blessed to be a part of a miracle every day that I go to work. I love to sing and lead worship at my church. I enjoy playing volleyball and being outside with my husband and 3 kids. You’ll probably always find me wearing something purple 💜

One of the most common questions we hear:

“What’s the difference between a doula and a midwife?”

Here’s the simple breakdown.

Midwife:
Medical professional responsible for your clinical care.

Doula:
Continuous emotional and physical support throughout labor.

Midwives monitor the health of mom and baby.
Doulas focus on comfort, advocacy, and support.

Together, they create a powerful birth team.

It’s not either/or.

It’s about building the right support around a mother so she can have the safest and most empowering experience possible.

Birth is better when women are supported.

Meet one of the doulas we are privileged to work with!

Ciara King is the founder of Kingdom Beginnings Birth Services, a collective of doulas serving families in Central Minnesota and the Twin Cities. She is a Certified Birth Doula, Certified Postpartum Doula, Certified VBAC & Cesarean Birth Professional, Childbirth Educator, and Certified BRM® Pro who is passionate about walking alongside families with Christ-like compassion, practical preparation, and evidence-based support through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. Her training in Body Ready Method® allows her to further support families with practical, holistic, body informed support and preperation for pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and beyond. Her heart is to help families feel seen, strengthened, and deeply supported during one of life’s most sacred and transformative seasons.

Ciara is driven to use her doula services to strengthen families from the very beginning through compassionate, intentional, Christ-centered support.

What does Ciara do when she’s not helping as a doula?

Ciara is a wife, homeschool mom of three, and former construction foreman who has long felt called to serve others. After receiving doula support herself, she began to see that calling in a new light and the Lord used that experience to lead her into birth work.

One of the biggest misconceptions in maternity care is that support during birth doesn’t matter.

It matters more than people realize.

When women feel supported:

• Stress hormones decrease
• Labor hormones work more effectively
• Birth progresses more smoothly

This is why doulas exist.

Not to replace partners.
Not to replace midwives.

But to strengthen the entire support team.

Because when a mother feels safe and supported…

her body works exactly the way it was designed to.

If you had a doula during birth, drop a ❤️ in the comments.

Things a doula will never say:

“Just do whatever they tell you.”
“Your questions don’t matter.”
“Birth has to look one specific way.”

Instead a doula says:

“Let’s talk about your options.”
“You are doing incredible.”
“Your body knows what to do.”
“I’m right here.”

Birth is not something that happens to you.

It’s something your body was designed to do.

And a doula helps you remember that strength when you need it most.

Most people think a doula is just someone who “helps during birth.”

That’s not even close.

A doula is your steady presence when labor gets intense.
Your advocate when you need someone to remind you of your options.
Your calm voice when emotions run high.
Your support person when your partner needs support too.

Research consistently shows that when a doula is present:

• Labor is often shorter
• Cesarean rates decrease
• Mothers report higher satisfaction with their birth experience
• Families feel more supported and informed

Birth is powerful.
But no woman should feel like she has to do it alone.

That’s where a doula comes in.

This week is National Doula Week!!!

If you’ve worked with a doula before, tell us in the comments 👇

Birth center myths we hear all the time:

MYTH: Birth centers are unsafe.
REALITY: Birth centers serve low-risk pregnancies with trained providers and clear safety protocols.

MYTH: There is no medical care.
REALITY: Midwives are trained medical professionals focused on maternal and newborn health.

MYTH: Birth centers are “alternative.”
REALITY: Midwifery is one of the oldest forms of maternity care in the world.

For many women, birth centers provide the calm environment they are looking for.

Things midwives wish every pregnant mother knew:

• Your body was designed for this.
• Birth does not have to be rushed.
• Fear is often the biggest obstacle to labor progressing.
• Movement during labor can make a huge difference.
• Support changes everything.

And one more important truth…

You deserve a care team that listens.

We have to share something that meant a lot to our team today? 🤍

We recently received a very touching review from Alyssa about her experience with our care team, and moments like that remind us why reviews matter so much.

Not because of recognition for us… but because of the impact they have for other women.

Many mothers find A New Story Birth Center because they’re reading the real experiences of another mom who was once searching for the same answers they are.

Sometimes it’s late at night.
Sometimes it’s after a hard appointment somewhere else.
Sometimes it’s simply a mother hoping to feel heard.

Your story can be the reason another woman finds the support she’s been looking for.

To every family who has taken the time to share a review with us — thank you. It truly means more than you know.

And if our team has been part of your care journey, we would love to hear from you.

Tell us in the comments or leave a review:
What meant the most to you about your care experience?

Your story might be exactly what another mother needs to hear today.

Your body was designed with incredible wisdom.

It knows how to grow a baby.
It knows how to nourish that baby.
And it knows how to bring that baby into the world.

Our role as midwives is not to take control of birth.

Our role is to support it.

To watch carefully.
To guide when needed.
And to trust the strength that women have carried for generations.

Birth is powerful.

And every mother deserves to feel supported through it.

Midwife life update…

Four baby boys joined their families this week. 💙💙💙💙

That’s quite the streak.

Moments like these never get routine. Every birth is different. Every family has their own story. And every time we’re reminded what a privilege it is to be part of it.

Welcome to the world, little guys.

Boy moms… you are growing a strong little generation. 💙
