Happy Surgery Anniversary to Me. It was Twenty Years Ago Today. My Temporal Lobectomy Surgery took place in 2006-(This photo was a month after the surgery)-It has Changed my Life. I have had Epilepsy since birth, but it was discovered when I was nine months old. In December 2005, I was scheduled to have temporal lobectomy surgery to correct my Epilepsy. Sadly, it had to be pushed up to January 17, 2006. The ten-and-one-half-hour surgery was a success. Long after the recovery, people watched what I did, and I came to a turning point in my life in the summer of 2009 and was told: "Why don't you start your own Organization?" I spoke with others, and they agreed and supported that suggestion. Our Organization, the Connecticut Epilepsy Advocate, and its website were launched on November 11, 2009. We are still dedicated to helping people with information, support, and so much more as well as making people Aware About Epilepsy. Now we are making more people than ever before Aware About Epilepsy. I am grateful to God, my wife, and all of my family and friends for their ongoing support. Especially my wife. Thank you everyone.
