Her Story Is Just Beginning LLC Created and founded in 2020 by Dorothy J. Yarrington, (she/her/hers) a clinical social worker and therapist from Southeastern Michigan.

Whether you are trying to find what is best for you, the "secret" to living a life a meaning, or learning how to manage stress in new ways, allowing yourself the time for recovery and healing is important. For many, it is a daily process that takes repeated practice and self-compassion. As everyone is unique, it makes sense that all aspects of a healing process are specific to each person. Your desires, needs, boundaries, and history matter. Healing should be your own. You are welcome to exist in the chaos and moments you endure as you encounter obstacles and challenges. Life is not black-and-white. It is the various shades of gray that exist in between. It is undetermined, naturally complex, complicated, and unpredictable. It is not easily explained by one story, one point of view, one perspective. I invite you to explore the not-so-easy spaces that may arise in all experiences.

The Seven Stages of Grief

The stages of grief can be experienced in any order at an point in time after a loss based on the individual person. Grief can be experienced not only after the death of a loved one, but after a significant loss, separation, traumatic event, or change of life circumstance.

Reminders:

-You’re grief is valid
-You are allowed to grieve at any time
-There is no limit on grief
-There is no grief hierarchy
-There is no right or wrong way to grieve
-Grief can be tricky to identify (it is often masked by other emotions))
-If you are STRUGGLING with processing grief, its okay to talk to someone (a friend, spiritual guide, healer, therapist, pet (yes), etc.)
