Ten years ago, Milford Regional Medical Center opened the doors to its largest expansion—the Meehan Family Pavilion. This project added a new emergency department, ICU, private patient rooms, and diagnostic imaging, all made possible by incredible community support.

Today, that investment continues to pay off. As health care needs have grown, especially during the pandemic, this expanded space has been essential in caring for our community.

Here’s to a decade of progress, partnership, and preparedness!

Milford Regional Medical Center is offering a Heartsaver CPR AED course on Tuesday, November 18 from 6 to 10 pm.

This hands-on class covers CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED use, and choking relief. Perfect for those with little or no medical training who need certification for work or regulatory requirements.

UMass Memorial Health-Milford Regional Medical Center is offering CPR and basic life support classes in November.

Dr. Aditi Mohankumar from our Milford Ear, Nose, and Throat team and our Cardiology teams found a sweet way to brighten pediatric visits—by turning gently used costumes into smiles.

Kids got to choose a costume after their appointment, and every single one was claimed in just two days! More are already being collected to keep the fun going.

🎃 Spreading Halloween Cheer! 👻

In the spirit of the season, Dr. Aditi Mohankumar from our Milford Ear, Nose and Throat practice came up with a thoughtful way to bring smiles to our youngest patients — by offering free Halloween costumes!

Staff from the ENT and Cardiology offices donated gently used costumes their own children had outgrown, creating a fun and festive way for pediatric ENT patients to celebrate Halloween. After their appointments, kids could stop by the “costume closet” and pick out a favorite to take home!

All 18 costumes were claimed within just two days, and staff are already collecting more to keep the magic going. 🧡

A big thank you to Dr. Mohankumar and the entire ENT and Cardiology teams for their creativity and generosity!

Indigenous Peoples Day invites us to reflect on the true history of the Americas — one that acknowledges Native peoples as the original stewards of this land. It centers the voices and experiences of Indigenous communities, past and present. Recognizing this day is a step toward changing the narratives that have not acknowledged or have misrepresented Native histories. It also supports the ongoing fight for visibility of Indigenous peoples across the country.
