Robert "Bob" W. Patten

Robert Wayne Patten, 84, of Milford Ohio passed away on December 13, 2025. Bob was a devoted husband to Kay (nee Donohue) Patten and loving father to John (Joanne) Patten and Dawn (Jeff Grant) Patten. Bob is survived by his wife, two children, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his sister Pat (Al) Phillips, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was known to always be willing to lend a helping hand with his tools at the ready for all family and friends, and sometimes even those he didn’t know. He was respected for his handyman skills, strong work ethic as a machinist during his long career, his service as an elder at his church, his deep base voice in the choir, and his exceptionally kind, gentle, and strong spirit. As a man of Christ he raised his family in the church, which is why they know they will all be together again and can rejoice in his passing as he went home to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or Matthew 25 Ministries.

James Anthony Michael Feld

James (Jim) Anthony Michael Feld, born on September 22, 1939, in Reading, Ohio, peacefully passed away on December 14, 2025, in Sharonville, Ohio. Growing up in Reading, James cultivated deep friendships that shaped his early years. He carried the warmth of those connections with him throughout his life, always cherishing the laughter and camaraderie he experienced. Throughout his life, James found joy in coaching basketball and baseball at the Valley Youth Organization in Reading. His passion for mentoring young athletes reflected his desire to give back to the community and foster a positive environment for the youth.

In May 1963, James began serving in the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii for two years. He was a proud veteran who served our country and he embodied the values of dedication and commitment throughout his life. He could often be seen proudly wearing his “Tropic Thunder” cap.

In 1972, James met the love of his life, Carol, while coaching at a VYO baseball game. They married on May 4, 1973, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They later welcomed two daughters, and eventually built a house and moved to Delhi, Ohio in 1978 where they lived for more than 45 years. James was particularly devoted to his family, and his commitment to his beloved wife, Carol, who predeceased him after 52 years of marriage, was unwavering. The foundations of love and support he built with her will be forever remembered.

James was not only a loving husband but also a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Christina (Paul) Suto and Jennifer (Robert) Smethurst, and his cherished grandchildren: Mariska Suto, Tamas Suto, Carolanne Smethurst, Elizabeth Smethurst, and Anna Lou Smethurst. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Cruse and Bobbi (Dee Feeney) Feld, as well as his sister-in- law, Frankie Feld.

James worked in the commercial printing industry from a young age, retiring in 2000 from Multi-craft Litho. He enjoyed being outside, especially tending to his yard and garden. He was fascinated with airplanes and flight and could often be found sitting on his back deck watching planes fly overhead. Additionally, James was an accomplished writer, having penned many books that shared his thoughts and experiences, a testament to his creative spirit and intellect.

James was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Feld, and his brother, Donald Feld. He is also grieved by the loss of his brother-in-law, Walter Cruse.

The remembrance of James Anthony Michael Feld will take place on January 3, 2026. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Megie Funeral Home & Crematory - Craver Chapel located at 529 Main Street, Milford, OH 45150. A graveside service with military honors will conclude the day’s events at Evergreen Cemetery, 234 Center Street, Miamiville, OH 45140 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

As we reflect upon the life of James, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy rooted in love, service, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
