Good (or not) late morning, everyone!! We lost power last night into this morning. And my laptop is dead. Hubby got permission from his boss to come home and troubleshoot. But at the moment, I have zero access to my records. I can access labs via my phone and do virtual visits via my phone. Lab slips and prescriptions have to be done the old fashioned way.

Thank you all so much for the beautiful testimonials!!! I’ve literally teared up many times last night and today. I got so many that I won’t be able to use them all with the new website launch!!!! Please don’t be upset if I don’t utilize yours for the initial launch. I’ll be able to change the website at any time and I can use testimonials in social media outreach.
I did want to let you all know that I have services I’ve provided for years that I didn’t ever advertise but there is extensive need for.
1. Student Advocacy: if you have a child on an IEP or 504 Plan, I can review the evaluations and IEP itself, virtually attend meetings with the school, and advocate for the accommodations your child is rightfully allowed by federal law.
2. Patient Advocacy: if you need to see a specialist, but don’t really know what questions to ask (especially important if you’re considering surgery), I can attend the appointment via speaker phone with you and ask the questions you might struggle to ask.
I do have a couple appointments available mid morning tomorrow if anyone needs to see me. Just text me.

Hey everybody!!! The new website is really coming along. Now I need testimonials!! If you’ve had a positive experience where I’ve diagnosed something tricky or advocated for your child on an IEP or 504 plan, please write something up and text it to me. I won’t place names online, just initials.

Back in June of 2024, I had my first anaphylactic episode since 1979. Then it progressed to anaphylactic episodes every other week. I was able to start meds and make some lifestyle changes and improved for a while. But things rapidly went downhill and I was in anaphylaxis every day despite maximum medical treatment. My brain was constantly foggy. I hurt everywhere, all the time. About 2 months ago, I decided that I needed help. So I sought help. 6 weeks ago, I found out that the Lyme I had treated at the end of 2024 hadn’t resolved. I also was diagnosed with Ehrlichia and a couple reactivated viruses. It was also found that my anaphylaxis and my MCAS were neurological in nature. With the help of homeopathy, herbs, biomagnetic therapy, dietary changes, and intensive inner work, I am finally feeling like myself again. I am off all meds and have not had even a blip of anaphylaxis in a month. My brain fog is much improved and my pain is my typical EDS pain.
And I’m ready to rise like a phoenix from the ashes and I’ve reached out to a few people to help me. One friend got me a domain name and has started building me a new website that will reflect who I am now as opposed to who I was when I opened the practice in 2011. It will give patients the ability to schedule their own appointments!!!! Once I have enough revenue coming in, I’ll get a virtual assistant to take clerical tasks off my plate.

The office has no power, no heat, no internet, and no access to electronic medical records. Currently, there is no estimate for restoration.

The office is open today, as my fever is resolved. I am not contagious, as the cause is Lyme.

The office will be closed today, as I have a temp of over 103 due to Lyme. I rescheduled the two patients on my schedule. If I accidentally missed rescheduling you, please text me.

11/25/2024

9:30 am check in tomorrow for surgery. Surgery will take 3-4 hours with 4 hours of observation after. If there are no complications, we can go home. We were instructed to bring overnight bags in case.
In light of this, I’m looking at being at the hospital for at least 8 hours tomorrow and don’t know when I’ll be back home. So, I’m going to close the office Wednesday as well.

The office will be closed Tuesday as one of the kiddos needs surgery. I have noon and 1 pm available tomorrow in case people need to be seen. I don’t know yet if I’ll be open Wednesday because I don’t know how the surgery will have gone. I’ll be off Thursday and Friday for thanksgiving. Saturday will be my typical hours.
