Hey "Making the Grade " fans! Now that our relocation to South Florida June last year is starting to come to a little more of an even keel, I hope to soon be posting a revised business/mission statement. But I couldn't pass the opportunity to do one of my favorite things this time of year! For many years now, with as much consistency as possible given lifes' ups and downs, I've put together grab bags of cards for the kids in the local hospital. For the past few years my daughter kayla has assisted me, usually putting her absolutely amazing art skills into action. This year she wanted to put together Christmas bracelets for the kids so we just went with Christmas stickers on the grab bags. Doing this every year, again, is one of my favorite things to do! I'm reminded of a time when a great friend of mine, Caleb Riders' son Forbes had to have an emergency appendectomy and was brought one of the grab bags when he was recovering in his room. I can still see the smile on his face as he was holding a hand full of cards on the Facebook posting! And that's why I do this! Bringing a smile to a kids face who is going through a tuff time at Christmas. And who knows, maybe a new collector is ushered into the hobby I fell in love with at age 7!
