Huge thank you to Jessica from Cranial Technologies for such an incredible and informative in-service (and delicious lunch!) today! 💙

We loved learning more about torticollis and plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome)—and how closely they’re connected. Torticollis, caused by tight neck muscles, can lead babies to favor one side, increasing pressure on the head and raising the risk of developing flat spots.

It was so helpful to deepen our understanding of:
✨ Early signs to look for (head tilt, side preference, limited neck range)
✨ How common plagiocephaly is and how treatable it can be
✨ The importance of early intervention, repositioning, and tummy time to support healthy development

We’re always so grateful for opportunities like this to continue learning and growing—so we can better support the babies and families we work with every day!

Chasing rainbows at KidSense! 🌈🍀

Our OT-led group got creative making rainbow crafts as we get ready for St. Patrick’s Day. While the craft is full of color and fun, it’s also packed with opportunities to build important skills. Activities like this help children work on fine motor strength, hand coordination, scissor skills, visual motor integration, and following directions—all while socializing and collaborating with peers.

Group sessions are a great way for kids to practice important developmental skills in a playful, supportive environment led by our occupational therapists.

We’ll be hosting a Spring Group soon, so keep an eye out for sign-ups—we can’t wait for more fun, creativity, and skill-building together! 🌸✨

Helping Kids Make Sense of Their World

KidSense Therapy Group, LLC is co-owned by Jennifer Bosma, a speech-language pathologist and Amanda Griffith, an occupational therapist who are passionate about helping children and families get the help and support they need. We work together with families and educators to ensure success, not only in the therapeutic setting, but at home and in the school environment as well. KidSense offers occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, physical therapy, social-cognitive therapy, executive functioning coaching, feeding therapy and mental health counseling along with a variety of programs to further enhance your child's ability to navigate life with enthusiasm and ease.

At KidSense, children experience therapy in an environment conducive to play. We have a space equipped with therapeutic gym equipment along with smaller rooms for cranial sacral and mental health counseling.
