Keeping eye contact, not pushing through stutters, and most of all regulating her nervous system before and after every interaction. What are you doing?

I reclaimed it!! This used to be my favorite part and is again!!!

I am doing it!! In just a few hours I will no longer be able to say I haven't flown in 18 years! Feel the fear and do it anyway! Path to freedom! Smile and laugh on purpose to send messages of safety! Not on the plane yet, will keep you updated! Now I know how to do airports again. When my mom put her hands up in the scanner machine I was like what are you doing!! I had to go through 3 times and take my boots off and i guess we all get patted down. Fun!!!

Wish me luck! I will post more tomorrow. My word for this week for all of you is: Step Out. Where can you step out in your life?

Why do adults stutter more when they’re nervous?
It’s not lack of effort or weakness — it’s biology.
When the amygdala detects threat, your nervous system activates. That increases tension, triggers anticipatory anxiety, and makes thoughts about stuttering louder. The result? More stuttering.

Understanding how your nervous system responds is the first step toward breaking the cycle. You’re not broken — you’re wired for protection.
