If you are not feeling well emotionally or mentally, I can help with diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions such as depression, bipolar, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, and ADHD. All visits are via video right now, but will transition to in person as soon as it is safe to do so. You must be in CT to have a video visit and you must be at least 16 years old.
I use a whole-person approach to care. Treatment plans may include prescription medication, acupuncture (when we can meet in person), mindfulness-based stress reduction, or aromatherapy.
Video visits are an excellent way to continue, or start, taking care of your mental health during this time of uncertainty. There is zero risk of spreading infection and 100% chance of helping yourself to heal. I look forward to seeing you in a video visit!
Dr. Courtney Holmes, DNP, APRN is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Gerontological Specialist with 18 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions. She provides mental health care for adolescents(16+) to older adults with treatment plans inclusive of prescription medication and mind-body therapies such as acupuncture, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and aromatherapy. She is Reiki II certified, completed the CT Acupuncture Certification Program, and has completed continuing education specific to the care of the LGBTQ+ population.
Courtney is very excited to merge her professional and personal passions through her private practice. She self-identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and is a member of TransPACT- a support group for parents of transgender and gender non conforming children (for more information please contact: Tony Ferraiolo by email tony@tonferraiolo.com or call 203-376-8089). Courtney has led and participated in a number of local and nationwide efforts in support of the LGBTQ+ community, including Your Holiday Mom, organizing a community holiday dinner for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, and leading her faith community toward open and affirming designation.
Courtney lives with her husband, two children, parents, and her fur babies, Chihuahua “Buffy” and Mini Schnauzer “Daphne.” She enjoys learning new things, electronic dance music, mindfulness meditation, cooking, and immersing in the awesome beauty of nature to recharge and restore.
