A small update about Muscle Mender 🤍

Each batch is handcrafted by me from start to finish using ingredients I source myself, and it takes nearly 8 hours to create just one batch.

This isn’t something you’ll find on a shelf. Muscle Mender was created with purpose, to loosen tight muscles and provide deep, long-lasting relief for muscle, joint, and tendon pain. No tingle. No menthol. No burning. Just the soft scent of sunshine and happiness… and real results.

Over the past 5 years, I’ve only raised my massage rates once (2 years ago). Keeping my services accessible and my pricing fair has always mattered deeply to me.

As ingredient costs continue to rise, I’ve made the decision to add a small fee for Muscle Mender use during sessions so I can continue creating it with the same quality you love.

Wellness doesn’t have to be complicated.
It’s built in the small things you do every day.

Here are a few simple ways to support your body between sessions:

• Hydrate like it matters (because it does).
Muscles, fascia, circulation, everything functions better when you’re hydrated. If you’re tight, achy, or fatigued… start here.

• Breathe on purpose.
A few slow, deep breaths (in through your nose, out through your mouth) can shift your nervous system in minutes. This is one of the fastest ways to calm the body.

• Move gently, often.
You don’t need to crush a workout. Walk. Stretch. Change positions. Your body loves consistent, low-level movement.

• Magnesium is your friend.
Whether it’s a bath, topical oil, or supplement, different kinds of magnesium can support muscle relaxation, sleep, and nervous system balance.

• Protect your peace.
Stress shows up in the body. Tight shoulders, headaches, jaw tension, it all connects. Be mindful of what you’re carrying mentally and emotionally.

Mental health isn’t just in your mind.

: If your pain keeps coming back… it’s not just your muscles.

I’m going to say something a lot of people don’t want to hear:

You can’t keep chasing tight muscles and expect lasting results.

If your neck, shoulders, or back are constantly tight…
if you feel better for a day or two after a massage…
and then everything creeps right back in…

You’re not getting to the root of the problem.

Because here’s the truth:

Your body is not just tight.

Your nervous system is on high alert.

And when that happens, your body will:
• Hold tension like it’s its job
• Keep muscles in a guarded state
• Resist fully letting go
• Recreate the same patterns over and over

No amount of pressure fixes that long-term.

What I do is not “just massage.”
And I am not your average massage therapist.

One year ago, I stepped into Nittany Valley Holistic Health with a vision, not to blend in, not to follow the standard, and not to offer surface-level work.

I came here to raise the standard of care.

To create a space where people don’t just relax for an hour…
They heal.
They reset.
They change.

And after a year of showing up fully — long days, full schedules, constant growth, and unwavering dedication….

The results speak for themselves.

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Board-Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, with a clinical background as a nurse, including endocrinology.

That alone sets a different foundation.

Because I don’t just see muscles.

I understand the systems behind the symptoms:

Zinc + Copper — Balance Matters

Zinc is having a moment right now… but here’s what most people don’t realize:

👉 Zinc and copper compete for the same receptors and pathways in the body.

That means if you’re taking zinc regularly (especially higher doses), you can actually deplete your copper levels over time.

And low copper isn’t something you want.

Copper plays a role in:
• Hair growth
• Energy production
• Iron metabolism
• Nervous system function
• Collagen and connective tissue health

Sound familiar? These are the exact areas many people are trying to improve while taking zinc.

This is where balance comes in.

• Occasional zinc (15–30 mg) is typically fine
• Higher doses or long-term use → be mindful of copper
• A general guideline is about a 10:1 zinc to copper ratio (individual needs vary)
