🏔️Mt. Russell was so fun — not scary at all, just pure beauty the whole way up. The trail to Upper Boy Scout Lake was lined with waterfalls and wildflowers, and our camp had insane views of Whitney, Russell, and Muir. Total dream.

🌄We summited Russell yesterday (incredible), but woke up too smoked to keep going. I missed weeks of training with my knee and didn’t have the gas for Whitney and Muir. Turns out weather came in anyway. The mountain said not today — and we listened.

🥰Grateful for this trip, the challenge, and my yearly summit adventures with . The mountains will always be there. 💙

Last week I ran 6 miles. Yesterday I hiked 7. Today I finished unwinding with some off-roading. 🙌

Acupuncture (thanks ), herbs, red light therapy, physical therapy(thanks ), and time in nature have all been part of the recovery. I’m feeling hopeful.

Grateful for the healing power of nature and for the people and tools that helped me get here. I couldn’t have done this alone. 🌲🏃‍♀️💪

This trip was all about learning, growing, and trusting — in myself and the people around me.

🧗‍♀️I led the first pitch of Physical Graffiti in Red Rocks, plus a few other low-level trad climbs. Every step, every placement was a lesson. I even pushed myself to top rope The Fox — the hardest crack climb I’ve ever attempted. It humbled me in the best way.

❤️I’m so grateful for my climbing partners who have shown endless patience, encouragement, and wisdom. Learning to trad and crack climb isn’t easy, but having a supportive crew makes all the difference.

This is my beautiful friend . Just a little more than a week ago, she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer. These past days have been filled with MRIs, a life-changing surgery, staples, and the start of a long road to recovery.

But this post isn’t just about cancer—it’s about courage, love, and what it means to fight.

Kat walked the Physical Therapy Walk just days after brain surgery. She smiled. She moved. She showed up with more grace and grit than I’ve ever seen.

To walk a labyrinth like the one in these photos is symbolic—it’s not a straight path, and it can feel confusing and endless. But with every step, you’re moving toward something. Toward healing. Toward hope. Toward life.

Our Story

Dr. Sam H.

In 2013, I received a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM). I went back in 2017 to complete the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a focus on orthopedics and women's health. I completed the DAOM in December of 2019.

I compete in trail runs, triathlons, and equestrian sports. In graduate school, while competing, I suffered some common sports injuries and was treated at the student clinic. It blew me away at how drastically the pain was reduced and how the healing time was nearly cut in half with acupuncture. I take pride in educating and treating my patients. I helped them work through injuries and avoid invasive procedures I use an integrative approach. I practice functional medicine and modern orthopedic and neurological testing. I realize there is no "one size fits all" treatment plan. I take my time with patients and do my best to treat their dis-ease and prevent it from returning.
