Lucy graduated from ICT Kikkawa College and received her designation in 2008. Within those years, she had the privilege of working along side very skilled practitioners ranging from Sports Medicine Doctors, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Naturalpathic Doctors, Traditional Chinese Doctors and Personal Trainers. This allowed her to treat a wide range of conditions such as repetitive strain injuries, tendinitis, depression, anxiety, fibromayalgia, general tension, acute and chronic conditions, pre and post natal, and general pain management. Lucy is often described as a deep tissue therapist with a gentle approach to the body. Her massage techniques range from postural assessment, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, myofacial release, neuromuscular therapy and rehabilitation. In addition, she recently received a certification in Ashiastu Massage which utilizes deep footed compression and effleurage strokes. With a promise to do something positive for herself daily, Lucy finds herself being active in weightlifting, crossfit, indoor rock climbing, adventure racing, hiking, is an avid traveler and incorporates healthy eating habits in her routine. Passionate about health care, her goal is to help you improve your life physically, mentally and emotionally.

The most common injury for road cyclists are:
Hip: Trochanteric bursitis, iliopsoas tendonitis.
Knee: Patellofemoral syndrome.
Foot/ankle: Metatarsaigia, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, paresthesias.
Head: Skull fracture, concussion, brain contusion, intracranial hemorrhage.

Massage therapists can help with repetitive strain injuries, and chronic pain and can reduce the effects of injury by relieving compression of nerves and encouraging repair of damaged nerve tissue.
