Trying to grow your family…? Then acupuncture can be a supportive step on your fertility journey.

When it comes to fertility treatments acupuncture can help…
- Increase blood flow to the uterus and reproductive organs
- Support hormone balance and regulate menstrual cycles
- Reduce stress and anxiety around trying to conceive
- Support s***m health and reproductive function
- Enhance outcomes of fertility treatments like IVF or IUI

By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture encourages the body’s natural healing response and helps create a more supportive environment for conception.

If you’re trying to conceive, we recommend starting treatments 3–4 months before trying or alongside fertility treatments.

Every fertility journey is unique, and acupuncture can be a gentle way to support your body along the way.

Jīngzhé, The Awakening of Insects…

In the traditional East Asian solar calendar, Jīngzhé marks the moment when the first spring thunder rolls across the sky, awakening insects that have been resting beneath the earth all winter. Nature begins to stir, buds swell, animals emerge, and the energy of the season rises upward.

In Chinese medicine, this is the time when Yang energy begins to expand and the Liver system becomes more active. You might notice shifts in mood, energy, or tension as the body adjusts to spring’s movement.

Just like the earth after winter, this is a time for renewal.

Your body is not behind.
It’s not late.
It’s not failing.
It’s responding.

Symptoms are messages.
Fatigue. Anxiety. Irregular cycles. Pain.
They’re invitations to slow down and listen.

Healing doesn’t run on a deadline and neither do you.

At Soul Sprout, we meet your body where it is, not where you think it should be.

Book a session if you’re ready to work with your body instead of against it.

At Soul Sprout Acupuncture, we’re all about supporting the body’s natural ability to heal.

Microgard is one of our favorite formulas for restoring balance when digestion feels off. In Chinese medicine, many symptoms trace back to dampness, phlegm, and food stagnation.

Microgard helps:
- Clear dampness & phlegm
- Move food stagnation
- Repair and harmonize the gut
- Support your system after indulgence (yes, even that)

We’ve also seen it support:
- Skin flare-ups
- Allergies, sinus congestion & asthma
- Mold exposure recovery
- Food intolerances (including gluten sensitivity — not for Celiac)

When digestion is supported, everything functions better. Ask us at your next visit if Microgard is a good fit for you.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Heart is known as the “Emperor” not just a pump, but the seat of your consciousness, spirit, and emotional well-being.

When the Heart is in balance, sleep is deep, the mind is clear, circulation is strong, and your complexion has a healthy glow. When it’s depleted or overheated you might notice palpitations, anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, or excessive sweating.

You can support and nourish the Heart by…
- Eating bitter and red foods like like tea, celery, dandelion greens, goji berries, and strawberries
- Practicing Qigong & meditation
- Taking Herbs like Suan Zao Ren Tang to nourish Blood
- Acupuncture to restore balance

At Soul Sprout we can help your Heart feel steady, joyful, and at peace from the inside out

We are closing out the year of the yin wood snake, and are shedding anything that doesn’t serve us as we move into the year of the yang fire horse.

Yang + Fire + Horse = summer solstice energy all year long. It is adrenaline. It is fast moving, big feelings, fly too close to the sun-type energy.

Luckily, the horse has vibrant endurance and if you stay grounded, this will be a year of great connection, imagination, insight, and entertainment.

Grounding will help you stay present in the moment. Try to enjoy where you are and who you are with to feed the heart and the fire that are the center of this year.

The fire horse is a lively, gentle, affectionate, and tenacious creature. The horse values freedom and seeks adventure, but can be impatient, impulsive, or stubborn.

This is a time to slow down and enjoy family and community to avoid burnout. Focus on pleasure travel and solidifying your relationships. It is a year of joy! We just need to keep our joy grounded and present so our energy doesn’t become manic. Try to enjoy the moment instead of seeking adrenaline pumping activities and chaos. Take time for stillness in this year of joy and lively energy spiraling upwards.

Let’s talk about the Shen…

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shen lives in the Heart ,the emperor of organs, and governs your mind, emotions, awareness, and that spark behind your eyes.

When Shen is strong and settled, you feel clear-headed, emotionally steady, and connected. On the other hand, when disturbed? Think insomnia, anxiety, palpitations, brain fog, or emotional overwhelm.

Here’s the key: Shen needs strong Blood and Qi to stay anchored.
- Deficient Blood → Shen feels ungrounded
- Excess Heat or stress → Shen gets agitated

Balance is everything.

Some ways you can support your Shen at home are…
- 10–15 minutes of quiet meditation
- Gentle Qi Gong or breath work
- Blood-nourishing foods (oats, leafy greens, eggs)
- Limit caffeine & spicy foods

Once you care for your Shen your whole system softens into harmony.

02/03/2026

As we come to the end of the yin wood snake year we can reflect on the year that has passed and prepare to move into the yang fire horse year.

This was a year to adapt internally to the external world around us. It was about considering what we believe, our habits, and our attitudes and clarifying those beliefs habits and attitudes to help us respond to the world around us.

At the end of this year it is now time to shed the snake’s skin and leave behind those beliefs, habits, and attitudes that don’t serve us in our purpose.

My wish for all of us is that we shed the beliefs that we may hold that allow us to think we don’t have the power to determine how things go around here. I hope we all shed any inkling of a believe that any human is more deserving of safety, dignity, or health than other humans, based on where they were born. May we shed the habits that allow billionaires to keep billionairing and shed the beliefs that result in billionaire worship. May we all shed the attitude that we are powerless to stop fascism.

May the clarity and the growth from the yin wood snake year carry us into this yang fire horse year. It’s going to require grounding because there is a lot of moving energy ahead.
