Lip rejuvenation can be so important for the female patient. So many women fear “duck lips” but once they are reassured that proper placement of filler in the fine lines around the lips as well as the lip itself can be achieved, they are very pleased with the new appearance. Keeping it natural and achieving a better version of a feature are the goals.

Dermatologists check everywhere… including inside the mouth. This patient came in for evaluation of a firm growth on her upper palate. I reassured her that it was a torus palatinus - a noncancerous growth in the middle of the hard palate. Treatment is only necessary if the growth interferes with dental appliances. Any growth inside the mouth should always be evaluated. (It helps that I come from a long line of dentists!) ☺️
