Steve was an incredible father and devoted partner. His daughter Elena was his whole world, and Liz was his greatest love. Together they spent seven years building a life in Charleston, SC, a place they called home, where they shared countless adventures, grew their family, and dreamed excitedly about the future they were building together. Born in Millbury, Robert graduated from Millbury High School in 1952, where he proudly played basketball. Along with his family, he owned and operated Pearson’s Elmhurst Dairy, a family business founded by his parents in 1934. Farming was never just a job—it was a way of life and a legacy he was deeply proud to preserve. Over the years, the farm received numerous awards recognizing its excellence. He especially treasured the many summers spent with his children and grandchildren participating in oxen pulls and showing prized Shorthorn cattle.

After retiring from AE Burgess Leather Company, she and Joe began traveling.
