Sometimes babies are born with torticollis, a tightness in the neck that causes a side preference.
If left unaddressed, this can lead to positional plagiocephaly—flattening of one side of the head due to pressure and gravity while the skull is still soft.
The good news? Early support matters.
Body-based therapies like craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, physical therapy, and other gentle approaches can help address the underlying restriction.
The ideal time to intervene: around 3–4 months, when the skull is most moldable and treatments are most effective.
