Mobley MD Facial Plastic Surgeon

Mobley MD Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Steven Mobley is a Facial Plastic Surgeon in Salt Lake City, UT. He has been in practice since 2002 at the University of Utah.

He specializes only in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, nose, eyes, neck, chin and ears. For over a decade Dr. Mobley, a board-certified Facial Plastic surgeon, has been transforming his deep and personal passion for his patients and the art of plastic surgery into beautiful results. Having had an ear-pining procedure himself as a child, Dr. Mobley understands and empathizes with the patient experience, and combines this with his extensive training and surgical expertise to offer the very best in patient care. The son of a urological surgeon, Dr. Mobley began his love for caring for others at an early age. As he forged his career as a Facial Plastic surgeon, Dr. Mobley was mentored by the likes of Dr. Rick Davis, Dr. Robert Simons, Dr. Regan Thomas, and Dr. Gary Burget, all of whom taught him that to be a great facial plastic surgeon one must be an artist, and an engineer, and a counselor. The counselor listens closely to the patient’s needs, the artist creates the vision for the patient’s solution, and the engineer uses exacting technique to achieve the desired result. Along with his extensive professional experience, Dr. Mobley actively gives back to his community. He routinely offers charitable surgery to children in need of ear pinning but who cannot afford it through The Mobley Foundation—a 501(c)3, started in 2008 with his wife Britta. As well, he has donated over $25K over the past several years to Children’s Holiday Charities. When he’s not exacting his technique, caring for patients, or offering his expertise to children in need, Dr. Mobley is spending weekends with his family—skiing the Wasatch mountains of Northern Utah, hanging out in the gym with his wife, or giving his son a few pointers on the art of the curveball.

Dr. Mobley’s 3D Neck Rejuvenation
Surgical precision. Natural definition.

This is not a filler treatment. Dr. Steven Mobley’s 3D Neck Rejuvenation is a surgical approach designed to address the underlying causes of neck and jawline aging for long-lasting, natural results.

Dr. Mobley's three-step approach:

De-Bulk: Targeted liposuction removes excess deep neck fat to improve contour and profile.

De-Age: The platysma muscle is tightened and repositioned to restore structural support to the neck.

De-Fine: Customized chin augmentation enhances balance and jawline definition when appropriate.

This procedure is performed in-office using IV sedation or local anesthesia and is tailored to each patient’s anatomy and goals.

For patients seeking meaningful, long-term neck and jawline improvement, surgical treatment offers results that non-surgical options cannot replicate.

The 5 most asked questions by my patients after Otoplasty Surgery:
1️⃣ How soon can my child return to school?
Most kids feel ready in about one week. Tenderness fades quickly, and the protective headband can usually be worn under a hoodie or hat.
2️⃣ When can they resume sports?
Light activity is okay after a couple of weeks, but contact sports should be avoided for 4–6 weeks to protect the healing cartilage.
3️⃣ Is otoplasty safe for young children?
Yes. By age 6, the ears are nearly fully developed, making this a safe and effective time for surgery—especially if prominent ears are causing teasing or self-consciousness.
4️⃣ When is the best time to consider otoplasty?
Ages 6–14 are the most common, but adults can have otoplasty at any age. It’s never too late to feel confident.
5️⃣ What follow-up care is needed?
Dr. Mobley typically sees patients at 1 week and again at 4–6 weeks. A soft headband is recommended at night for several weeks to support healing and maintain the final shape.

Dr. Mobley recently had the honor of speaking at the AAFPRS meeting, where he presented his specialized nostril-shaping technique to surgeons from across the country.

As a passionate educator, he frequently teaches at national conferences, sharing his expertise with up-and-coming facial plastic surgeons and contributing to the growth of the field.

We’re proud to see his work continually recognized on a national level — and even more proud of the dedication he brings to every patient, every surgery, and every opportunity to educate. 💙✨
