Amelia's Angels

Amelia's Angels Amelia's Angels is an organization that provides hope and healing to bereaved families at local hospitals through memory boxes.

Amelia's Angels was created in memory of our precious daughter, Amelia Elizabeth. Amelia was born at 30 weeks gestation on August 28,2014 with a fatal chromosome issue. Amelia lived for about 4 hours after birth. She was the most precious little girl and a true blessing from God. While at the hospital we were given a precious memory box that hospital volunteers prepare for families who lose their babies. Our memory box is filled with precious memories that we will cherish always even though she was only with us a short while. Our memory box consists of the following:
Handmade dress and Bonnet (Amelia wore after she was born)
Soft pink crochet blanket (Amelia was wrapped in after birth)
Footprint cards
Some of Amelia's hair
Handmade Angel Ornaments
Pictures with the CD
Cards and words of encouragement
A teddy bear and some other special items that we have added. Our box was hand painted by a local artist
We also had the privilege to have a professional photographer photograph Amelia. Through Amelia's Angels we are hoping to spread the word about the memory box program and raise money to purchase supplies. Most memory box programs are maintained through volunteers and/or the nursing staff at the hospital. Our goal is to provide hope and healing to families one box at a time. We will currently be putting together boxes for Wilkes Regional Medical Center. There are plans to reach out to other local hospitals in the future. By donating to Amelia's Angels you are:
~ Supporting a family who would otherwise go home empty handed
~ Supporting a family who has lost a precious part of their life
~ Giving an older sibling comfort
~ Giving extended family a precious gift through pictures
~ Sending love, comfort and encouragement to families who have suffered a tremendous loss
~ Providing a family with memories of their precious child that will last a lifetime.

Yes! Life without her has changed everything for me and even though it’s been almost 6 years I’m still learning and navigating this person I have become. I try not to get caught up on the “could haves” because it makes the journey more difficult but, what would I give to have that little girl here with us, making our earthly family complete. Only makes heaven a little sweeter.

Thankful for the opportunity to help others in her memory, her short life has touched many and will continue to do so. Lifting you all up in my thoughts and prayers daily. 💞
