There is rising interest in growing hibiscus roselle commercially in North Carolina. So, Jeanine Davis with the NC Alternative Crops and Organics Program at NC State University, is considering starting a research project on it. She would like to engage NCHA members in it, too. To help her decide whether to move forward with this idea or not, she needs some information about who is growing it and the level of interest. So, are you growing it for sale in NC? If yes, please tell us what county you are in, if you are growing it for leaf and/or calyx harvest, and if you are growing it in the open or in a high tunnel. Thanks.
