InFoal, Inc.

InFoal, Inc. Leaders in equine embryo transfer, embryo freezing, ICSI and IVF (Invitro Fertilization). Dr. Beck was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Deer Lodge, Montana.

After attending pre-vet at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, he went to veterinary school at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Upon graduation, Dr. Beck moved to California where there was green grass and blue skies and a climate more conducive to year-round equine reproduction. In 1987, he moved to Hemet, and in 1990 purchased 10 acres in Diamond Valley to began building Winners Circle Equine Clinic. The first lab in 2006 was just the beginning of our tireless effort to improve our equipment and technique. After two years we produced Adam, our first live ICSI foal, and Eve followed the year after. Last year we successfully produced 49 pregnancies and 45 frozen ICSI embryos. Recently, a complete remodeling of the original hospital has been accomplished. Our current laboratory, with newer and more reliable equipment, allows us to complete the entire process from follicle aspiration, searching, holding and maturing to the actual ICSI, culturing and embryo transfer all within the same building. Our quarantine barn, the latest addition, is USDA approved for animal export as well as quarantine for semen and embryo export. The mare barn has 46 stalls under lights for preparing both recipient mares and client mares for an early breeding season. In 2006, InFoal,Inc. was separated from Winners Circle Equine Clinic, to provide a separate base of action and specialized focus strictly on equine reproduction.

✨ A Full-Circle Kind of Day ✨

There are moments in this journey that feel bigger than horses, bigger than the miles traveled, and bigger than the work we put in day after day… and today was one of them.

We had the honor of spending the day with Dr. Beck — one of the true breeding geniuses of the genetics and reproduction world — as he took a genuine interest in Gone To Be Bright. He even traveled two hours just to come see him in person. When someone with his level of knowledge, reputation, and vision makes that kind of effort… it hits differently. His excitement, curiosity, and belief in what this stallion represents meant so much.

But what made the day truly unforgettable was watching Dr. Williams, the man who bred Gone To Be Bright, see him again for the first time in four years — since the day he left for the States. The look on his face said everything: pride, awe, and that quiet emotional moment only a breeder understands. Pure magic.

To see the horse he envisioned — a race-bred athlete with heart, grit, and generational fire — now standing here as a proven sire, a rodeo horse, a barrel athlete, a halter champion, and a once-in-a-lifetime partner… it brought everything full circle.

We laughed, shared stories, talked pedigrees, and soaked up the kind of company that makes this industry so special. Good people, good horses, big dreams, and even bigger gratitude.

And a huge thank you to Christi at HighPoint for taking such incredible care of all of us today. She gave Dr. Beck and Dr. Williams true first-class treatment and a beautiful tour of the facility — showcasing exactly why HighPoint is one of the premier stallion stations in the world. Her hospitality, her excitement, and the way she made everyone feel valued set the tone for a day none of us will forget.

Today wasn’t just a visit.
It was a reminder that Gone To Be Bright’s story is still being written — and the right people keep finding their way into the pages.

What a wonderful time. What a blessed day. 💛🐎✨

Via TechTimes:
"For years, fertilization was taught as a simple race where the fastest s***m reached the egg first and won. But new research has revealed a far more intricate process. Studies now show that the egg actively participates by releasing chemoattractants — chemical signals that guide s***m toward it. Not all s***m respond the same way, suggesting that the egg may “prefer” certain s***m over others based on subtle biological cues.

Research published in journals such as Nature Communications and eLife suggests this selection process is influenced by genetic compatibility. Eggs appear to attract s***m whose genetic makeup best complements their own, increasing the chances of producing a healthy embryo. This could help explain cases of unexplained infertility, where both partners are healthy yet fertilization doesn’t occur — the egg may be selectively avoiding s***m that aren’t an ideal biological fit.

This understanding shifts the narrative of human conception entirely. Fertilization is not a simple competition but a coordinated interaction between egg and s***m, guided by biochemical communication. Rather than the “fastest wins,” it may be the “best match” that succeeds — highlighting the complexity, intelligence, and selectivity embedded in human biology."

POOR EGG QUALITY MAY LEAD TO REPEATED MISCARRIAGES

A mi$carriage happens when the embryo can’t grow and d!es during the early stages of pregnancy.

The quality of an egg is essential to develop into an embryo and carry pregnancy till full-term. A p0or-quality egg will have trouble fertilizing and developing into a healthy embryo.

This can lead to repeated mi$carriages. No matter how many times you try, you can’t have a successful pregnancy if you have poor-quality eggs.

Congratulations to Autumn Langholtz and her famous mare VF Forcit First (mother of “Jarvis”) - our first commercial IVF candidate. We split an aspiration of 17 oocytes (12 good ones) - 4 for ICSI and 8 for cIVF. Fertilized with excellent semen from Repete Offender - the results were 3 ICSI embryos and 5 cIVF embryos !!
Though they are difficult to tell apart from the pics below - our results show similar outcomes from freezing/thawing and transfer, but a 75% lower pregnancy loss rate from cIVF embryos.

🧬 ICSI vs tru IVF..... WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? 🧬

We get asked this question daily so let's get the correct information out there📣

ICSI, refers to Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection. This is the process of manually injecting a s***m directly into the oocyte. In ICSI, the lab technician selects the s***m to be used however, it is impossible with the microscope to differentiate s***m quality, making selection completely random. In the video clip above, you can see the single s***m make its way down the injecting pipette into the oocyte.

IVF, refers to In Vitro Fertilization. In this process, the s***m are allowed to swim to the oocyte without assistance. In tru IVF, Mother Nature does the selecting and fertilization will occur naturally when a single s***m pe*****tes the oocyte. In the video clip above, hundreds of s***m are attached to the outside of the two oocytes, all working to pe*****te the zona to achieve fertilization. Only the BEST s***m will win. 🏆

Have more questions? We love them! Call our office or feel free to send us a message. We look forward to speaking with you.
