Camp Daybreak is seeking a fun, compassionate, and dynamic professional to serve as our Director. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about mentoring young volunteers and creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for children with a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
As Director of Camp Daybreak, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping the camp experience, both during and outside of Camp, — fostering connection, promoting emotional growth, and ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing leadership and vision for Camp Daybreak’s programming and culture
- Mentoring and supporting young volunteers, helping them grow as leaders and role models
- Creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for campers
- Collaborating with volunteers and stakeholders to support the unique needs of each child
- Promoting positive behavior, inclusion, and community-building throughout the program
The Ideal Candidate:
-Brings energy, creativity, and a strong sense of empathy
- Has experience working with children and/or youth with social, emotional, or behavioral needs
- Enjoys mentoring and guiding young volunteers
- Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Is committed to building a welcoming and supportive community
