It is with genuine sadness that I announce that Speck passed away this morning. She has been in failing health over the past few days and passed quietly. In her near 14year life span she was known as "Princess Speck" and would always come when called. She was the frequent escape artist and more than once was found walking down the middle of the road with her chicken attitude but would quickly run home and get back into the chicken yard when she spotted my car. She had no boundaries and would often come into the house, rest on the dog's bed and search for bugs and worms in the freshly planted garden. She was not one to brood and had no chicks to call her own, which was a blessing as she had no nurturing instincts. Instead, she rarely laid eggs, was always the first out of the coop in the morning and insisted on having her own, separate eating area. She was loud, she loved to be carried like a baby, loved hugs and was featured on at least one Yee Family Christmas Card. She starred in over 20 yoga YouTube videos where she not only strutted her stuff but could be heard, often. She will be deeply missed.

20 years ago today I taught my first Yoga class at the Milton Activity Center. It has been 20 years filled with life long friendships and a few planks. ❤️ Though today we meet virtually I miss seeing you all in person.... I am beginning to think and plan how we can meet again. I miss you all!
