A story and an introduction:
My baby turned 6 yesterday, so of course her birth was really on my mind. Before becoming an IBCLC, I was a L&D RN, and I had my babies where I worked. When I got to the hospital on that rainy April day and saw that Robin would be taking care of me, I knew I could relax because I would be in the best hands. Robin helped me have the birth that I’d hoped for and was calm, comforting and a total pro throughout. When I started TLC, Robin was also starting to shift her career to lactation and I secretly hoped that one day she would join TLC. This year that hope became a reality!! I’m so proud and thrilled that our families will be able to be on the receiving end of Robin’s care, just like I was. She is warm and smart and cares deeply about meeting families where they are to help them meet their feeding goals. It feels so great to be able to be on a team with her again and I love that we can collaborate and make each other better. Welcome to TLC Robin. We are so lucky to have you!

Tera’s Lactation Care provides lactation care through in-home and virtual visits throughout the Milwaukee area. She is an RN and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with extensive education and training in lactation-specific concerns that families often face.

Happy IBCLC Day everyone!! (Yes, it’s a thing, and totally worth celebrating!) I am so proud to be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to be able to provide new parents the lactation care they deserve. Through Tera’s Lactation Care I get to support the hard working lactating parents in Milwaukee and beyond as they journey through the beautiful act of love that is breastfeeding. Here are some more fun facts about me and TLC:
💧I grew up in Milwaukee and then went to school at for my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at University of Michigan (Go Blue!) before living in Chicago and then moving back home to Milwaukee. 💧I got to live on the Big Island of Hawaii for 3 months as a travel nurse in Labor and Delivery. I loved all of our adventures there! 💧My mom came up with the name TLC for my business- perfectly capturing the warm, non-judgmental care I aim to provide- thanks mom!! 💧I live in Mequon, WI with my husband and 3 kids. My breastfeeding experiences with my kids taught me so much about how much there is to learn about breastfeeding and how life changing good support is to a new parent 💧Water is my element. I love nothing more than being on a Wisconsin lake in the summer! 💧I can’t wait to share more about lactation and my journey with TLC!

I love our cozy Wednesdays ! There is nothing quite like being around other parents who are in the thick of those new days as parents just like you. This group is an inclusive, supportive environment to talk through whatever parenting or feeding topics are on your mind. Come for the coffee, snacks and good company, and you might just come away with some great new feeding tips from our conversations! What breastfeeding topics would you like to learn more about?

I’m so excited to host this new parent support group at ! It’s such a comfortable happy space to connect with other parents, and share all those experiences and questions that come with new parenthood. This inclusive group will meet 11-12:30 the first Wednesday of each month, and is perfect for parents of babies up to 12 months. Can’t wait to see you there!
