As we near the end of 2025, WGO reflects on highlights from the past year.

For the first time in 35 years, the World Congress of Gastroenterology returned to Australia, this time in Melbourne. With over 2,500 delegates from nearly 60 countries, was a meeting to remember.

As we near the end of 2025, WGO reflects on highlights from the past year.

WGO has been grateful to participate as an exhibitor in many wonderful congresses and meetings worldwide. From inaugural events, like the 1st Oman Gastroenterology Society Conference, to congresses hosted by our Regional Affiliate Associations, 2025 was a year well spent connecting with both current and new members around the world.

We hope to see you at a future exhibit in 2026!

As we near the end of 2025, WGO reflects on highlights from the past year.

Our third and final Train the Trainers course of 2025 was held in Mérida, Mexico in partnership with Asociación Mexicana de Gastroenterología. The Spanish language workshop was a fantastic way to close out the year for the program, bringing the total number of alumni worldwide to over 1,500!

After a successful French Train the Trainers course held in Marrakech in 2017, the program returned to Morocco this year for . This richly diverse course brought together a dynamic group of participants from over a dozen countries, inspiring enthusiastic collaboration and meaningful connections that transcended borders.
