BAND-Together Initiative Join our BAND-Together Listserv by emailing us at bandtogetherinitiative@gmail.com Neurodegeneration causes dementia conditions.

Neurodegenerative diseases occur when brain cells die and cause changes in thinking and behavior over time. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia. Common symptoms of AD are worsening memory, word-finding skills, insight, and other thinking and behavioral changes. Through the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment, collaborators from the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Greater New Birth (GNB) Church have partnered to launch the BAND-Together Initiative to build doctor-community trust and work to reduce racial disparities in dementia knowledge, care, and research in Wisconsin. BAND-Together page Purpose: To provide you with information about upcoming BAND-Together events and other relevant community events, access to BAND-Together community talks, updates on BAND-Together progress, ways you can connect with local community resources, and much more!
