Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for our 15th annual Strain for the Brain event. It was a beautiful and impactful morning for the brain tumor community and we are grateful for your support.

We would like to share this special moment of our founder and friend, Dr. Mike Molloy. Mike brought up the rear of the race crossing the finish line with his family by his side—joined by Dr. Connelly and Dr. LaViolette. It was a special moment some may have missed, but it will not be forgotten.

🎉 The Time Has Finally Arrived – The 15th Annual Strain for the Brain! 🔬 🧠🏃‍♀️☀️

We’re thrilled to kick off Sunday’s event under clear skies and bright sunshine—perfect weather for an incredible day of community and purpose.

It is with great excitement that we announce over 1,500 participants have registered for the race, and thanks to your incredible support, we’ve officially met our $100,000 fundraising goal!

Your generosity and dedication continue to make a powerful impact. The funds raised will directly support critical brain tumor research, helping to advance treatment and bring hope to countless families.

Today, we kick off Brain Tumor Awareness Month – a time to come together to support, empower, and amplify the voice of the brain tumor community.

Highlighted here is the work that is being done at the MCW Brain & Spine Tumor Program. All of the fundraising efforts at this years Strain for the Brain event will help support all of the hard work that is being done by this amazing team.

We are just one month away from this year’s event and have raised $56,983 of our $100,000 goal. We look forward to seeing you on June 1st!

The Neuro-Oncology program carries out clinical trials of chemotherapeutic and other experimental treatments for brain cancer, near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) as well as fMRI studies of tumor angiogenesis aimed at improving early detection and treatment outcomes.
