From school colors to wild patterns, iconic concert tees, full‑spectrum rainbow looks, and some truly convincing twins, our employees showed up in style. Thanks to everyone who joined the fun and filled our halls with laughter and personality all week long.

💧At Eastcastle Place, our residents came together for a Circle of Sharing centered on one simple but powerful theme: water. As a bowl of water was passed around, we heard stories of childhood swims in Lake Michigan, the chaos of unexpected flooding, and the everyday ways water sustains and inspires us. Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to share our experiences — and how every voice adds something special to our community.💧

Step inside the world of real‑life crime solving! 🔍 This week, Eastcastle Place welcomed forensic expert Bob Block for an inside look at the Wisconsin Crime Lab—from drug analysis to crime‑scene investigation. Residents got firsthand stories from the courtroom, unusual cases, and the science that brings truth to light.

"We’re proud to highlight Ashley Orlinski, Healthcare Manager at Eastcastle Place. Her journey through senior living — from CNA to administrator to dementia specialist — has shaped her into the compassionate leader she is today.
Ashley works closely with residents, families, and staff to create supportive, person centered care. She also oversees the entire nursing schedule to ensure our residents always have the dedicated professionals they deserve.
Ashley says it best: “It truly takes a village to ensure the best care is provided.” Moments when a resident recalls a memory or calls her by name remind her why every day is worth it.

At Eastcastle Place, we love creating meaningful experiences for our residents. Our Friday outings are one of the highlights of the week and this Friday outing takes us to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for a matinee performance—a chance to enjoy world class music with friends. 🎶
Residents may use their own tickets or join our reserved block, and we provide comfortable transportation to and from the venue. Being dropped off right at the entrance makes the day effortless and enjoyable from start to finish.

As we close out Women’s History Month and gear up for Milwaukee Brewers Opening Day, our residents enjoyed a fantastic lecture from Mary Shea on the history of women in baseball. From the trailblazing Bloomer Girls to the iconic Rockford Peaches, all the way to today—where more than 1,400 girls are playing high school baseball—we walked away full of new knowledge. If you’ve ever seen someone at Eastcastle Place moving seamlessly from carpet cleaning to delivering packages with a smile, chances are you’ve met James Green. James is one of those rare team members who treats every task—big or small—with the same level of care and pride.

What keeps him energized each day is something he describes as “the familiarity of the unknown.” No two days look the same, and that’s exactly what he loves. Each new challenge brings a new skill, a new moment of growth, and another opportunity to support our residents in meaningful ways.

James reminds us that personal growth is always around the corner when you show up with curiosity, dedication, and heart. We’re grateful to have him as part of the Eastcastle Place family.

🍁 Sweet Adventures at Riveredge Nature Center!

Our Eastcastle Place residents embraced Wisconsin’s fifth season—Maple Sugaring! They spent a beautiful day at Riveredge Nature Center, learning how sap is collected, exploring the historic sugarbush, and watching firsthand as sap transforms into delicious maple syrup.

From tapping trees to tasting the final product, it was a perfect blend of education, nature, and sweet fun.
