today is grandparents day.

this is for the grandparents who show up.
the ones who pick up the phone every time it rings.
the ones who cancel their own plans just to be there.
the ones who don’t just wear the title,
they live the role with love.

for the grandparents who rock babies so mamas can shower.
who sit in the bleachers at every game and clap the loudest.
who slip prayers into bedtime, believing those prayers will carry farther than their arms ever could.
who love without condition, without judgment, without end.

because not every child gets a grandparent who shows up.
and those who do will remember it for the rest of their lives
not the gifts wrapped in paper, but the gift of presence.

happy grandparents day to the ones who love out loud. 💕
