✨ Success Story: Creating with Confidence ✨

Because of the NVI voucher program — and supporters like you — PBW connected 8-year-old Genesis with an eye exam and glasses to help her see clearly. 💛

Now that she can see much better, she’s back to doing what she loves most — drawing and painting — and her family has noticed improvement at school, too.

Thank you for helping children access the care they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Partnership Spotlight: Medical Students Making an Impact in Children’s Vision

We are proud to partner with students from the Medical College of Wisconsin's SOMA (Student Ophthalmology Medical Association) group to strengthen children’s vision screening efforts across the Greater Milwaukee area.

Through this collaboration, PBW trained and certified 7 MCW SOMA students as Children’s Vision Screeners. As future doctors, many with a strong interest in ophthalmology, these students are stepping beyond the classroom to adopt local childcare centers and private schools, ensuring children receive critical vision screenings.

We are grateful for this partnership and the dedication of these students to improving vision health in their communities.

Today, we are celebrating our incredible Board members who rolled up their sleeves and spent the morning vision screening every student at Clara Mohammed School.

Because Wisconsin is one of just nine states that does not require vision screenings, opportunities like this are critical—without volunteers, many students may go without ever having their vision checked.

We are so grateful for the dedication of our Board, and we are looking for more companies and groups to join us in making a difference! Interested in getting involved? Connect with one of our Board members to hear about their experience or reach out to our office at 414-765-0505 or Breanna@pbwi.org to learn more.
