A cancellation policy isn’t a punishment… it’s my business’s version of a seatbelt 😅
When you book, that time is yours. I’m not secretly double-booking you like an airline or pulling clients out of a waiting room like a magician. It’s just me, holding that space with your name on it.
So when someone cancels last minute or no-shows, it’s not like “oh well, I’ll just grab another human from the back.” It’s more like:
– me staring at the clock like 👁️👄👁️
– my treatment table fully dressed up with nowhere to go
– my tea kettle emotionally boiling for no one
Meanwhile, someone else could’ve taken that spot:
– the person with a migraine who would’ve cried tears of relief
– the one whose back went out lifting their kid
– or honestly… me paying my bills on time 😂
A cancellation policy just says:
“Hey, this time matters. For you, for me, and for everyone trying to get in.”
It keeps things fair, keeps the business running, and keeps me from turning into a feral herbalist yelling into the void 🌿
So no—it’s not a punishment.
It’s a boundary… with a little personality.
