🦷 Brushing + Flossing = A Healthier Smile
We all know brushing your teeth is essential. But did you know that adding flossing to your routine is even better — and not just for your gums?
Here’s what recent research shows:
A review of 12 well-controlled studies found that combining flossing and brushing significantly reduces mild gum disease (gingivitis) better than brushing alone.

Another study showed that flossing before brushing helps loosen up trapped food particles and bacteria between teeth — so the toothbrush can do a more effective job.
Dental Health
Brushing cleans around 60% of tooth surfaces. Without flossing, you leave the remaining ~40% of spaces — especially between the teeth and under the gums — prone to plaque, decay, and gum irritation.

Here’s our tip:
Brush twice a day and floss at least once daily. It takes a minute or two extra, but it can save you from painful or costly issues down the road (gum disease, cavities, bad breath).
